Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes V.I. Paw Tours
Do you want a creative way to celebrate a birthday or anniversary? Why not celebrate with a unique gift of an exclusive two-hour tour that will give you an inside look of the Santa Barbara Zoo? You'll learn about how we care for the animals that reside here, conservation issues, and get a close-up view of some of our animals. Choose from five different tour packages, each highlighting a specific continent or animal species:

Primate Palooza- Western lowland gorilla, lemur, spectacled langur, white-handed gibbon, golden lion tamarin, and Goeldi's monkey

Big Cat Adventure- African lion, Amur leopard, snow leopard, and black-footed cat

South American Trek- Humboldt penguin, capybara, Chilean Flamingo, giant anteater, golden lion tamarin, black-necked swan, coatimundi, Toco Toucan, and Goeldi's monkey

African Safari- Western lowland gorilla, African lion, Baringo giraffe, lemur, East African crowned crane, ground hornbill, slender-tailed meerkat, and black-footed cat

Asian Expedition- snow leopard, Amur leopard, Asian elephant, white-handed gibbon, Asian small-clawed otter, and Indian crested porcupine

These adventures offer an opportunity to discover what wonderful things can happen in the world of rare and exotic animals. Following your tour, you and your guests will be treated to Zoo cookies and beverages. If this tour is a gift for someone, they will receive a celebratory button for the occasion.

In addition to this unique experience, you or the gift recipient will become a Foster Feeder of an animal that was featured on your tour. Foster Feeders receive a special recognition certificate, their name on the Foster Feeder Board for a year, a color photo, and a fact sheet about the animal.

Tour cost: up to four people - $500; up to six people - $750; up to eight people - $1,000.
